Bone Man (English version)

(This is a rush translationt. Version may not be in its final form.)

- Can you hear me?
He walked at the speed of light.
And it was just beginning.
The light travels in a year nine trillion, four hundred and sixty billion and eight hundred million kilometers.
You had to find a new planet. The time was running out.
The media already called him Bone Man. There was only one side effect.
He would lose his affective memories, keeping only functions linked to planning and action with the help of implants and nano-robots.

He tried to write what he knew. Maybe it was already a lot of mixed cliches and anguishes. Maybe it was science fiction already.
"Money, invested in science, produces progress" - Zola's phrase was the president's slogan. It was not an investment, but a "freedom to starve," as one journalist put it. Since democracy had been abolished, for "security reasons", after protests, all universities "without practical use" lost funding. Those who focused on humanities studies had closed.
The government basically functioned as a police force to contain revolts and as a bank lender in the event of market turmoil.

The bomb that ended New York was only the first tragedy.
Storms that killed thousands, lack of potable water, wars that generated a mass of immigrants were used to propose the changes.

The old downtown buildings were swept by condos-skyscrapers that linked to cities in the stratosphere and wide avenues of shopping in space.
Most of the population, in agriculture, managed by machines, disputes the semi-polluted streams to wash clothes, feeds on insects and instant noodles and has no access to the remedies after the end of public service.
The reform of education ended with "victim words." The "new ecology" was the main focus, that is, money for space research. Quantum physics had its mysteries.
"To say is to invent."He began to forget who his relatives were in the vacuum transmissions, until they noticed his indifferent smile.
His dreams, then, were all with things he did not know.
But they were full nightmares. He would enter underground areas of a house and see people sleeping there, among corpses and wretches.
- Can you hear me? - he said.
Someone was coming after him with a knife.
He woke up sweating.
Every day her body generated movements to maintain its function. He was even forgetting why he had decided to do that.
He began to feel trapped. He looked at the emptiness, the risk that the stars formed in their unpublished run. Pieces of him were also falling behind.
He saw one just like him, they talked.
- Fate, I should not have accepted. The future has already happened to you.
The other one drew a fish. He remembered his childhood when there were fish in the lakes. At night, they slept in their arms.
M 101 came close, a black hole of 20 million suns inside it, but it was not swallowing anything around.
- You are a star. These atoms have somehow lived 13 billion years ago.
He opened the door.
