Tyler Robinson: I couldn't take his hate anymore. There's some hate that's unnegotiable... Remember when I was recording messages on bullets? Those fucking messages are basically one big meme. If I see "notice the volume" on Fox News, I'm going to freak out. Okay. I'm going to have to leave this. It really sucks...

Bolsonaro is convicted of racism and will pay R$1 million in damages - The lawsuit concerns comments directed at Maicon Sulivan, a Black supporter with an afro, whom Bolsonaro called a "cockroach breeding ground" and a "cockroach breeder," and said he would only be elected federal deputy "if there were a quota for ugly people." In one of the broadcasts, the former president even claimed the remarks were a "joke," downplaying the impact of the speech.

“I think it's worth the cost, unfortunately, of a few gun deaths each year, so that we can maintain the Second Amendment and protect our other God-given rights. That's a prudent compromise. It's rational.

A democracy cannot accept hateful responses to hate, because the rules of justice must prevail. But American justice is hanging by a thread; it must be fair. The United States has never been able to view hateful words as a crime, and the right to arms is an invitation to civil war. A sick society breeds sick people.
The University of California, Berkeley, provided Trump administration officials with the names of 160 students, faculty, and staff members regarding alleged anti-Semitism on college campuses—responding to a federal investigation. Judith Butler said on September 15: "I've never said anything that was anti-Semitic. But if you accept the IHRA definition, the International Holocaust Remembrance Association's definition of 'anti-Semitism,' then any time you make a strong criticism of the State of Israel, you are eligible for the allegation of anti-Semitism." (Democracy Now!). Ruth Marcus, a former Washington Post journalist, stated: "We are seeing the beginnings of an autocracy in the United States." (Estadão, September 17, 2025)
The far right thrives on paranoia. It was once the idea that Jews were contaminating Europe. The idea that there exists a pure human group that would be replaced by immigration. When we have a martyr (as in the case of Hitler, arrested in 1923—something necessary), fanaticism explodes. Since there is no global left-wing party, but rather many people who rebel against various instances of oppression, want to regulate millionaires, and/or refuse various discourses that normalize violence, these crazy acts create a general "excuse" against supposed left-wing unity. The transformation of all criticism into "terrorism." Radicals like to perform victims.
Since no violence can be justified, the primary effect is to create a retreat from any evaluation of hatred, as the act of madness casts a shadow even over its primary cause (in insane logic)—the victimization of the aggressor, lesson number one in the reactionary playbook. The act of violence seems to create the zero point that generates the vendetta's "right of reply." The murderer's requested death highlights this corrupt system that finds killing natural.
A fake photo of Tyler Robinson wearing a T-shirt with President Lula's (Workers' Party) face is already circulating on social media. (G1, 09/12/2025). Deputies have filed a lawsuit against a congressman who, they claim, "violated constitutional freedoms by pressuring companies to fire employees for posting about the dead activist." (Infomoney, 09/17/2025) We can forget that, in 2018, a radical leader was calling for his opponents to be "shot."
Says Makena Kelly of Wired:
"At the beginning of this investigation, a lot of people were saying that those three downward arrows were an anti-fascist symbol, but when you add those first two arrows, it's actually just a code that you would enter when playing a game called Helldivers 2... The bomb that that code calls for is something like a 500-kilogram Eagle bomb or something like that. And it's a meme in the Helldivers community, where it's seen as... when you call it, it's a comically exaggerated bomb to drop. It basically... in the game, it will solve all your problems, and you don't have to think about anything else."

We must consider that Generation Z tends to be motivated much more by personal relationships, by an individual understanding of their position, and by using symbols of virtual communities, than by a coherent and complex narrative that we usually call ideology. Stephen Miller, Trump's political advisor, said: "It's a vast domestic terrorist movement." (NBC, 09/17/2025) Much of this argument stems from the idea that criticism is a form of dehumanization and necessarily leads to violence; but how can we not call the idea that only silence will improve society censorship?
Of course, we can never support terrorism, even if its cause is the defense of a correct value (defending minorities). Much blood has been shed due to the incorrect reasoning of "correct" people. The basics: war is good for no one, and in any case, big capital has better weapons. In war, enemies and friends die. If everyone decides to shoot in the name of their ideas, what kind of life will that be? The system of accepting the mistakes of others is part of democracy. Only the conscience of the majority can build lasting peace.
Still, one person was affected by the threatening words; the United States lost a fundamentalist. Someone who contributed and would contribute to the pain of many people without being stopped by fair means. A person who propagated hate was the victim of hate (not justice). It's not right, but it has happened before. It's a risk anyone who persecutes and attacks runs. Kirk claimed, for example, that "many" mass shooters are transgender, a false claim. (FactCheck.org, 09/17/2025) The new radicalism gained a network to spread, the justice system to support it, and an (elected) communicator to create limitless false reality. Kirk 's "freedom" to create fear was dangerous:
"Kirk even criticized the law that prohibited both segregation and racial discrimination in the United States. He also downplayed slavery on several occasions."

What shocks me most about this terrible case is seeing a 22-year-old feel so helpless that he thinks he has to "take justice into his own hands." What strikes me is that American society has been unable to contain hatred. For fear of an authoritarian state, the US Constitution protected hate speech. In Brazil, the courts recently condemned the end of freedom. They also just condemned ironic racism. This generation is witnessing a genocide normalized by global elites. They saw billions benefit banks during the 2008 crisis.
What kind of political system is this that can't contain a racist and allows a maniac to manipulate the hatred present in the masses? Saint Augustine already said that, against the tyrant, there is a just fight—we can't prevent a person from defining their oppressor as a dictator, but we can have a rational system that prevents tyranny, and we must educate people about negotiation. The system also failed Charlie Kirk because it failed to contain a racist ideology and imperialist representations of another era. A flawed concept of freedom handed the United States over to dangerous factions.
Violence is never the end, but the beginning. The right to life is the first of all rights. But the system must be fair, or it seems obvious that crazy "vigilantes" will want to act, which only makes society worse. Robinson harmed us, but society also failed him.
